Stonehenge and Bath (Part 2 of UK/Ireland Trip)

It was a dark and rainy day, the skies predicting doom and gloom. The wind was fierce on the plains of Salisbury as ghosts were resurrected from the beginning of time. One could almost feel these soulless creatures floating by.

OK you get the idea. It was windy and rainy but that did not stop us! The following pics are various views of this mysterious place.

These sheep were grazing next to Stonehenge. Interestingly, the sheep all have numbers painted on their sides in various colors. The little lambs are painted the same color and have the same numbers as their moms.

Hmmm...not my sheep

I am not one for buying souvenirs, but if I were...this was pretty darn cute.

After Stonehenge, we went on to Bath where our first order of business was trying to find a place to park. Remember when Chevy Chase was trying to get around London and he kept seeing Big Ben over and over? Well, that was us only in Bath. Once parked we went to the Jane Austen Center (which was awesome). Please note that I am posting this blog on Janey C's birthday--HAPPY BIRTHDAY JANEY! Enjoy the pics and pretend you are right there with us!

Mr. Darcy and Mrs. Dekker--LOL

Our Tour Guide--she's the one on the right!
The next 2 pics are for Jennifer C. because it's the kind of thing she would put on Pinterest.

The Regency Tea Room where we had our scones with clotted cream and strawberry rhubarb vanilla jam.

The Abbey in Bath

The Roman Bath House

The Pulteney Bridge

Curved buildings are the thing in Bath. The next picture shows part of a complete circle of dwellings called The Circus.

The Royal Crescent

The next few pics are just scenes on the streets of Bath.

The Dollar Store of Bath

Just had to add this pic of the "Dollar Store." It was in the more modern section of town. Stay tuned for our next trip to Oxford and Stratford.
