Easy Ice Cream Pie

2 ready made oreo pie crusts
1/2 gallon ice cream any flavor
1 stick butter
1 can evaporated milk
2 cups powdered sugar
1 package chocolate chips


Leave ice cream out until soft and then divide evenly between the two oreo pie crusts. Freeze until hard.

Meanwhile, melt butter in saucepan and add evaporated milk and powdered sugar. Heat slowly to boiling point. Add chocolate chips and heat until thickened stirring constantly. Cool completely and pour onto ice cream pies. Place pies back in freezer.

You may have left over hot fudge depending how thick you like it on your ice cream. If you want to do this recipe in a 9x13 pan, just put a package of oreo cookies in the food processor, and pulse until finely ground. Press into pan and use the entire 1/2 gallon of ice cream. This recipe is great with peppermint ice cream.
